A Report from Occupied Territory

I thought about the reality of our lives through this reading. As it appears in the text, black people are always doing the lowest jobs, the most common jobs, which are now being distributed by automation. But why should they be treated like this even though they are the same humans? We need education to stop this from continuing. Current education points out that racism should not be avoided, but the cultures in our lives do not. In the media alone, all black people appear as villains. And the princesses in fairy tales are all white. When asked about black, Asian and white children in kindergarten, most of them answered that only white girls were princesses. This teaches us that the culture embedded in our lives is already racist, even if we say hundreds of times in our textbooks not to be racist. We must take this seriously and fix it.
